Musical Director: Kerry Prest
Trained as a singer and pianist at Trinity College of Music, Kerry worked as a singer and choral conductor in London for nearly twelve years before returning to the north of England. During his time in London, he conducted the London Equity Choir at events in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Actor’s Church. Kerry also conducted off-West End shows such as Anything Goes and Cabaret, and a one-off concert at the Old Vic. Kerry has worked as a producer and conductor on a number of albums for solo singers in London, including workshops of music he wrote himself with various lyricists. He also recorded a CD of various sacred choral pieces after forming the Illumination choir with contemporary composer Miriam Mackie. Kerry moved to Leeds in 2015, where he works for a charity in the city centre, and continues to teach singing. He has worked as Musical Director for Beckett Choir since early 2016.
